What is BBCode? |
With the help of BBCode you can easily format your posts. BBCode always looks like this: [B] would print a bold text. It is important that you always close the tags or you will mess up your post. To close a tag use the /, which would in our case look like this: [/B].
|
How can I add BBCode to my post? |
There are 2 ways to add BBCode to your post. Either in Guided Mode or in Advanced Mode.
In the Guided Mode you will get a popup window where you enter your text. This text will then be automatically entered into your post, with all the necessary tags around it. If you want to format text, that's already written in the form, mark it, and then click on the BBCode button you want to use. The text will then automatically be copied into the popup window and all you have to do is click OK. Easy, isn't it?
If you use the Advanced Mode only the opening tag will be added into the form. You then have to write your text and close the tag with a click on the 'Close the last opened tag' button. If you use the 'Close all open tags' button it will - oh wonder - close all tags that are still open.
Please be aware that only tags that were opened through a button can also be closed through a button. Tags that you wrote manually will not be closed automatically.
To use these comfortable functions you must have JavaScript activated in your Browser.
